Boomkat Product Review:
One year since his debut, Jire returns to NPIP with a more kinetic 2nd EP of concrète haptics, high-velocity footwork chaos, and frequency-massaged abstraction.
With opener Zang he twysts from an arrhythmic, atonal mass into pelted percussion and wrenching metallic screech sounding like a jittery, caffeinated Micachu experiment, whilst Sttttreams grapples with thistly mic crackle and bendy hyaline dimensions and C_Temple seems to invert their textural density into cold, hollow abandoned space station atmospheres, leaving 47 Reflections to exhibit his de-composition skills at their most layered, nimble, strafing multiple dimensions of field recordings with motion-sickness inducing impact.
There is something very canny at play here, acutely tipped to fans of Wanda Group, Mica Levi, or even The Sprawl.
