Boomkat Product Review:
The curve of Anton Zap's production trajectory continues to keep us firmly on our toes this week with one of his most varied and inspired releases yet, strictly limited to just 100 copies for the world. 'Classic Dub' starts the session with an intuitivey constructed dub-house killer, dappled with the kind of ever-morphing filter and EQing tricks of Moodymann, before the rather special 'Kingdom' sets double timed steppers-house rhythms sounding like Theo Parrish in a mix-off with Thomas Fehlmann. On the flip, 'Party Dub' concentrates all the goodness in the bottom end with hard filtered house percussion and 'Adide' completes the set with a dipping bassline-driven slo-house groover. Perhaps it's his secluded location out there in Moscow that makes his intuitive spin on deep house so mesmerizing, but whatever it is it's got us hooked! Very highly recommended.
