Ferenc of the Nitsa Club and Record label based in Barcelona take the stage for the next Kompakt 12", bringing their finely honed dance grooves to Michael Mayers label. 'Yes Sir I Can Hardcore' was originally released in limited quantity on the Nitsa label and became such a club fave in Germany that Kompakt decided to re-issue it with one hell of a Michael Mayer remix. Mr Mayer steps up a gear for this mix, starting with an old school 4/4, a deep bassline throbbing away and a single elongated string note holding in the background which all builds up to the break, and what a break it is. Michael teases the phat bass synth in slowly but the programming starts to go wild as the music builds up, then the notes hold for the beat to drop back in, and drop in they do, a floor destroyer of the highest calibre where all the parts come together just for that moment and put this track up there with his 'Love is Stronger Than Pride' release, brilliant dancefloor tackle with depth. The original mix still sounds fresh, deep atmospheric noise permeats the 4/4 beats with brass like stabs joining the fray to give a funky old school feel and a breakbeat being dropped around the middle of the track to space it out until the 4/4 drops back and reinforces the solidity of the track, a club classic in Germany, that will no doubt find huge favour over here now Kompakt have discovered it.
