Boomkat Product Review:
Powerful techno and dubbed electronics from persistent producer Adam Marshall and Christian Anderson (XI), finding the smartest, spacious balance of clinical tech-house minimalism and bass-heavy grooves on their first Graze session away from Marshall’s New Kanada label.
For the DJs, it practically worth it for the rolling, industrial-infected techno heft of Xup alone, especially if you’ve got a big room or crowded basement to smash. Meanwhile the other three parts test out more wayward, off centre styles, again with some use for the DJs in the grinding triplet swagger of Tryptych, or at slower, lusher angles with the ambient autonomics of Vast, and with gravity-defying half stepper Shadow Play.
