Boomkat Product Review:
Jasss’ chucks in a remix on Ena’s minimalist grey area explorations for Moscow’s Arma label
Leading on from Ena’s ‘Baroque’ 12” with Mumdance & Logos Different Circles, the ‘Wired’ EP sees him follow a hunch for grubbing, insectoid percussion and worm-charming subs in ‘Pale’, while expectorating dry, raspy static tones in ‘Wired’, and sliding down the rabbit hole in to eerie dissonant dankness on ‘Secondary Colour’. Preceding her new Whities side and remix of Alva Noto, Jasss puts a maudlin sort of post-dubstep/trip hop hex on ‘Wired’ with additional vocal moans and recalibrated rhythms.
