Boomkat Product Review:
Have the Hyperdub crew been spending a lot of time in Detroit strip clubs of late? Their latest booty drop from Mark Pritchard aka Harmonic 313/Reload etc and Om'Mas Keith of Sa-Ra Creative Partners certainly seems to hint at something a little more sexy from the label. The pair have gone two's-up on a badass slow bomb in 'Wind It Up', concentrating the post-Dilla, 8-bit grind of Pritchard's recent releases with the ultra-coolin' future-soul stance of Om'Mas Keith's Sa-Ra beats to produce a buttered batty winder for the club. We'd have to pick the 'Freaks' mix as our favourite, adding neon-purple fairground melodies to the dripping riddim, but the lean and crunked original or instrumental versions are guaranteed to do the business in clubs everywhere. You're going to have a problem keeping your hands off this juicy wind-up tool if you've been loving the Joker, Gemmy or Guido stuff. Big twelve.
