At chuffing last Jasss’ secret weapon gets a full release, now entitled ‘Turbo Olé’ and backed with a singular piece of psychedelic, industrial breakbeat-trance for Whities.
Remarkably enough ‘Whities 027’ is Jasss’ first solo release since her knockout debut album in 2017, although its lead cut has been doing the rounds as a early version for the past couple of years, and regularly deployed to febrile response at The White Hotel where she plays in February 2020. We can only hope it’s the sign of much needed new Jasss material on the horizon.
Basically ‘Turbo Olé’ is fucking rocket fuel. A giddy jibber-jaw trance lead paves the way for bolshiest electro breaks and screaming top lines that erupt into a full on ‘90s cyber-trance riff, insurgent Reese bass and jungle breaks with ecstatic alacrity, leaving no body still on the ‘floor. ‘We Solve This Talking’ however is entirely new to our ears, and emerges from a straightjacket industrial funk wriggle into a spiralling sort of psychedelic dubstep that in any other hands could be dodgy as hell, but Jasss executes with heady flair.
Minters. Best thing yet on Whities.
