Boomkat Product Review:
'Where II Dance' Vol.1 is a carefully compiled cross-section of wayward, murky house and techno electronics from Brighton's Where To Now? label. Featuring 8 cuts by Tuff Sherm (Dro Carey), Lumigraph, Stefan Jos and more, it neatly intersects between the established styles of Trilogy Tapes and Opal Tapes, bowling between the silty, aquatic dub house of Stefan Jos' 'People On The Bridge', the low-slung swagger of Boya's 'Image Line', and the warped Detroit techno tilt of 'Ski Mask (Dub Not Dub)' from Dublin's Lumigraph. Dro Carey's Tuff Sherm provides the highlight in a pumping celestial techno centrepiece, 'Backwoods', and we'd also recommend checking Takahiro Mukai's roiling sci-fi stepper, '#122309'.
