Boomkat Product Review:
FXHE twist the lines again with a unique session from John F.M. mixed and edited by the bossman, Omar-S. From the vocal intro to the stumbling groove and blossoming, instinctive synth arrangement, the A-side's 'Where My Roots Lie (A New Detroit Anthem)' is one of those tech-soul joints that could only come from the 313, and much the same could be said for the much ruffer tech-soul drive of 'White Churches Be Like' on the B-side. But, it's left to 'Solace 322' to deliver a sucker punch of blues-dripping soul surprisingly laced with natty 8-bit synth goodnuss. TIPPED!
