Boomkat Product Review:
Justin Maxwell, should be familiar to all as a Palette artist and an acolyte of John Tejada, already delivered a brilliant remix for Dominik Eulberg´s "flora & fauna“ album on Traum, and here introduces his new project, Dsp Speedwagon by way of a debut for Trapez. He developed the project with scientist Cynthia Bruyns - it combines the abilities of a schizoid Maxwell "digitizing the indigestion of one thousand angels, their stomachs simultaneously rumbling with gastro-oscillator sub-bass“ together with Bruyn's academic research in physically-modelled synthesis. Blimey! In real terms - the outcome is a perfect symbiosis: "what happened“ commences extremely dry and minimally, then steals away in a different direction with almost hysterical samples which successfully embrace rock influences. "Thunderthighs“(great title!) and “Polishing the oscar“ (another good one) are bulky and crazy, no compromises here - a perfect box filler for the more adventurous dj's amongst you.
