Boomkat Product Review:
Berlin lynchpins, BPitch Control, sum up a "turbulent 12 year history" in seventeen tracks and one disc with the brilliantly diverse 'Werkschau'. Opening with the up-to-the-minute tech-house sensuality of recent signing, Cormac's 'The Present', Jahcoozi represent the label's poppier interests on the downbeat 'Day In Day Out' while Hercules & Love Affair's Aerea Negrot offers the bizarre cabaret pop experiment 'Deutsche Werden' and Telefon Tel Aviv join Robin Guthrie for 'The Sky Is Black'. Stylishly experimental techno functions come from Mark Broom with the rugged swing of 'Refund' and AGF/Delay's sinister 'Most Beautiful Kill', whereas Ellen Allien, Chaim, Paul Kalkbrenner and Sascha Funke split a spectrum of highly polished Tech-House grooves at the core of the label's world renowned sound.
