Boomkat Product Review:
Hotly tipped Stones Throw producer James Pants at last delivers his much talked about debut album, and a very fine beast is too. A combination of '80s electro, new wave rhythm tracks and synth pop, the album nevertheless keeps one foot in the Stones Throw hip hop heartland. Above all else though, Pants has produced an album loaded with character, and whether it's on electrified funkers like 'Ka$h', or minimal post punk sketches like 'My Girl', he manages to sound on top of whatever game he happens to be playing at the time. A fine piece of work.
