Boomkat Product Review:
2016 reissue of The Pop Group’s 1979 punk-funk bullet We Are All Prostitutes...
First delivered in between their Y (1979) debut, and For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder? (1980) LP, this 7” is a prime example of The Pop Group’s agitated funk, railing against capitalism with the skull-crack funk and feral howls of Are All Prostitutes, and sparking off the dopest no wave breaks and discordant strings against an Amnesty International report on British Army Torture of Irish Prisoners on the flip side.
Fxckin’ right they don’t build ‘em like this anymore.
