Boomkat Product Review:
The Focus Group's 'We Are All Pan's People' is one of the most celebrated of all the Hauntological releases of recent years. It's the work of Julian House, sleeve designer and a thoroughly modern man with a penchant for the pre-digital British culture of the 60s/70s. This disc originally came out in 2007, but since then he's topped many charts including The Wire's 2009 writers poll and our own with his 'Investigate Witch Cults Of The Radio Age' album with Broadcast. Funnily enough we've never actually had this in stock before. Much has been written elsewhere about the effect and impact of these recordings so we needn't retread that ground, but we should remind you that it's an incredible piece of work, compiling 25 charming sonic day-dreams charged with a psychotomimetic potential liable to suck you in completely. Hugely recommended!
