Boomkat Product Review:
Christian Przygodda's work will no doubt already be familiar to many of you via his three albums on the lovely Karaoke Kalk imprint. For this latest work, his music sounds more amiable than ever, with the usual elements of slide guitar, easy, lolloping beats and a keen ear for instrumentation all in place but now with an undoubtedly superior range of composition. The tracks on Water-Wasser sound more mature and harmonically sophisticated than on any of his prior albums, though the tempo of the album is more sedate and considered as a result. There are moments of Air-like cinematic listening here, such as the supremely lovely 'Flynn Und Anton' and opener 'Ursula' marking a clear advancement in Przygodda's material.
