Boomkat Product Review:
The ever-reliable Liz Harris follows her A I A double album set with this enchanting new 7", featuring a brace of songs that have to count among her most naked and unadorned; the amniotic ambience that's become her trademark is still there, but it's less all-consuming here, with less obvious electronic touches than some of her recent work. Both tracks are proper heartbreakers, at once intimate and cinematic in scope: poetic studies in reverb that transport you to the dusk-lit, mystic woodland clearing of the mind, Liz's vocals at once red-eyed and spring water pure, rueful and fragile against delicately plucked and echo-drenched guitar arpeggios. Without doubt one of the finest, most subtle and soul-searing 7"s you'll hear all year, from one of the US underground's most consistently compelling operators. Breathtaking, no less.
