Sam Binga brings a bus load of vocalists and collaborators to the table for his debut album of hybrid footwork/jungle/hip hop/dancehall with Critical Music.
'Wasted Days' marks the latest phase of his constant mutation from Breaks thru dubstep, D&B and house to a sound that's quite distinctly his own.
On the first disc, you'll find Warrior Queen voicing the title track's zig-zagging junglism, alongside the ruder dancehall bubble of 'Badman Skin' featuring Redders, who also links with Bristol local, Rider Shafique on the dubble-dipped 808 bounce 'Pound 4 Pound'.
The second disc rolls deeper, darker with Rider's stoned vocal and the rolling Reese bass of 'Mind & Spirit', beside the outstanding footwork/jungle tribalism ov 'Dark Day', produced with Hyroglifics, backed with a hard-ass performance by TT The Artist (who's credited with writing J-Lo's 'Booty', waat?!) in 'Bad Bish', and the bittersweet slowfast rush, 'Reclaim' with Om Unit.
