There's quite a line-up on this killer new compilation from Seed Records, with the likes of Alexander Robotnick, Legowelt, Neil Landstrumm, Tobias Schmidt, Ddamage and The Doubtful Guest all making appearances, while a particularly compelling pair of tracks get the album underway: first up is Zombi, the retro synth rockers lulling you into an analogue comfort zone via the luscious soundscapes of 'Sessuale' before Andreas Tilliander, under his Mokira guise, launches into a throbbing bass workout reminiscent of the electrifying, primal sound designs of Pan Sonic. Next up 'Sleeps In Oysters' deliver some tuneful broken folk type material, switching the tone once again. Diversity is the key word with this playlist, with classy retro dancefloor productions from Robotnick and Legowelt complementing more contemporary 4/4 beats from Tobias Schmidt and Neil Landstrumm. There are some fairly ridiculous contrasts here too though: on the one hand you get the ace euro disco sounds of Maiovvi and Fortuna and then the aggressive mangled beats and acid squelches of Snyzch on his track 'I Eat C**ks Like You For Breakfast'. Varied and exceptional value - Highy Recommended!
