Boomkat Product Review:
The Funckarma-produced Shadow Huntaz take a slight twist, hook up with auxiliary member K-Eyes (Who lent his hand to the awesome 'American Dream' cut off the album) and head deep down. "Vampire", third track in, is a filthy, gutteral, percussively destroyed beast of a track, acting as a counterpoint to the straighter Hip Hop structures of the other 3 pieces and twisting into a relentless tumble through pounding, squashed beats and lucid melodies. Just awesome. Rumour has it that Skam are in posession of 3 alternate versions for each of the tracks on the album, "Night" is here re-presented from one of those alternate takes - all reflective piano hooks and a more traditional production aesthetic - imbuing proceedings with a more toned-down, melancholly vibe. Deep deep stuff.
