Boomkat Product Review:
Advanced techno sound designs inspired by Greek myth and created using up-to-the-minute software. A-side is a sprawling, tortuous 12-minute techno narrative titled 'Misresses March', based on the story of Demeter's search for her abducted daughter Persephone and employing the Diachronic VST to churning, physically challenging effect. Flipside, Dadub uses a handmade modular synth system developed by Nicola Buono and Lino Monaco to shape the fluid, rolling groove and unfolding wave shapes of 'Kykeon', which takes its name from a ceremonial psychoactive drink, whilst on 'Ergot Kernel' he employs a sound and groove generator invented by Daniele de Santis (Grün) to conduct a roiling, bodily sensual momentum and strafing, droning sci-fi synth patterns. RIYL Monolake, Lakker, Autechre.
