Boomkat Product Review:
Ohh this is bloody lovely! The hotly-tipped Vancouverite makes a stellar ambient/techno contribution to Firecracker's Unthank series, arguably marking up his most necessary release to date after 2014's super sweet album with 1080p.
His A-side sports the wonderfully esoteric designs of Freedom For Antboy II operating in free space with abstract tape gremlins perfusing diaphanous Detroit pads that wouldn't sound out of place in a 69 record, followed by the AI or Relics-style beat-less romance of Donny On The River.
Flipside, we;'re invited to a pastoral techno scene of thumping kicks and field-recorded atmospheres, darkened by the presence of rolling Reese bass and tripped out with vintage-sound acid melt.
