Boomkat Product Review:
The San Franciscan mafia pass the parts around and emerge with some fine and radical revisions of their own catalogue. Kit Clayton takes on the awesome Murcof, Sutekh tackles Ben Nevile, Twerk avails himself of the dubbier elements of a Portable piece, and Portable himself rips it up on a Sutekh original. The Portable cut welds a demonic bassline with an ever worrying vocal fragment, where Twerk shifts the focus to the middle range - beautiful tonal drifts over some massive sub bass, nicely secreted in a composed, controlled track. Kit Clayton bravely dukes it out with Murcof, trampling on some small children and turning a timeless original into a ragga stabbing onslaught, Sutekh's version of Ben Nevile employs the scuttering percussive cut up to great effect, all making for an off centre but engaging set of remixes. Ace.
