Boomkat Product Review:
Roska keeps the UKF game on its toes with the 'TWC EP' on his own Roska Kicks & Snares imprint. His productions over the last 12 months have been at the very forefront of the style, shaping idiosyncratic rhythm constructions with obvious emphasis on reinforced kick snare syncopations designed to reprogramme hips and feet every weekend. For his latest mission there's a prevalence of sumptuous synth vibes inspired by US House fellas like Karizma or the smooth style of DJ Gregory, combined with a rolling rhythmic force that's less broken than, say, his seminal 'Climate Change EP' but still kinked with his own flavour. That said, the final track 'Without It' is a twisted polyrhythmic killer that we'd expect to be smashing it at Carnival this year. Needless to say, essential goods for all fans of heavyweight club music. TIP!
