Boomkat Product Review:
Debut album time for underground soldier Rob Sparx, unleashing an overweight double disc beast onto a hungry dubstep scene. Rob comes from that school of producers who cut their teeth in the notoriously technical D'n'B skool, learning production techniques which would come to inform the rest of his catalogue, no matter if it's Breaks, Trance or Dubstep Rave. His sound has perfectly imitated and assimilated elements from each style to become an amorphous amalgam of current rave tropes from the darker side of the dance, homogenised into a sometimes effective formula. The first disc comprises of the many precursor 12"s he released for this album, including classics like 'Black Sheep'. 'Liquid Soul' and 'Trooper', while a second disc drops names like Distance, TRG, Bar 9, Reso, and Nero over a collection of remixes and bonus tracks. One for the real truecore 'step afficionados.
