Boomkat Product Review:
There's no shortage of love for Fever Ray in this office. Since hearing her debut solo album this year we've been ravenous to hear what these tracks could sound like with a proper Euro-core remix job and mercifully she's reeled in some very suitable hands for the job. Prejudice warned us against the Rex The Dog mix, but the man's outdone himself with a stone cold pop-dance classic, adding juicy Italo bass and snapping snares for the best weekend anthem we've heard in ages, 20 years ago this might have been number one. James Rutledge aka Pedro maintains the calibre of this 12" with a fragile but dance effective version, sounding like Conny Plank meeting The Human League at a fjord-side midnight disco. However, the best is saved for the remarkable mix from relative unknown Tora Vinter, a producer with only one previous release to her name, who turns in one of the most magically mesmerizing techno-pop remixes you'll hear this year. Sally Shapiro fans eat your heart out. Everyone else buy this, your children will thank you for it.
