Boomkat Product Review:
dBridge tugs on the modern soul strings with a 33 or 45? beauty blessed with his most yearning vocals and remixes by Steve Spacek and Stray, plus more original material.
It’s actually a 33rpm play, working with some really tripped-out vocal pitching and smudged chords, heavy on the downstroke, but flip it to 45rpm for a more knife-edge soul tension perfect to slip in with house and garage tempos.
His bro, Spacek, chimes in with a super louche remix swaddled in warm cottony chords and wobbling subs, whilst Stray leans in on the downbeat, but we’d recommend skipping to the South of Your Soul edit for Gone Before Dawn, dispensed with Damon Kirkham of Convex Industries and sounding uncannily like some Firewire oddity, before stepping out into classic dBridge with the cyberpunk themes of Better Than The Pain, and his warped new age gangster cue, Cos My Love Is, replete with whale calls.
