Boomkat Product Review:
'Too Fast' is one of the very best tracks from one our favourite albums of 2002, the criminally slept on 'Flying Wonders' album. Featuring the heavenly vocals of Seaming To, who is featured on the cover art, this is a supreme vocal track. A guitar and bass clarinet harmony line and sleigh bell percussive flow leads into the vocals 'i've had enough, I'm not going to take it any more', incredible lush string sections and tantalising arrangements create one of hell of a tasty elevation. Killer. Alongside the amazing extended instrumental version are two early tracks. 'Ground Running' drops the electro hop reggae showdown, with robotic horn blasts, chitlin guitar runs and daft funk while 'Fair-weather Friend' is a Homelife anthem in my household. Originally issued on vinyl by Master Detective, Justin Robertson's label - it's a Ennio Morricone whistle-a-thon with glitch moog stabs, that incredible string sound again, rolling percussion and acoustic guitar - this is one hell of a tune and deserves to be heard again and again. If there was any justice in the world this EP would be playlisted on every radio station in the UK, barnstorming the top ten and making Paddy and the crew some well earned mega bucks. Till that day comes show your love and pick this up now.
