Boomkat Product Review:
Leipzig's sferic-signed TIBLSC floats Adrian Corker's delicate electro-acoustic compositions into the clouds on this misty-eyed and Eno-esque remix set.
After Adrian Corker saw TIBLSC play a set at London's Cafe Oto, he knew he wanted to work with them. He asked them to take the raw tracks from "Since it Turned Out Something Else" and create a new set of pieces, and TIBLSC responded with three lengthy compositions that transport Corker's filigree originals into chilly new landscapes.
The first piece is an extended set of billowing drones, decorated with breathy ASMR vocals. It's like a timestretched rendition of vintage Eno, supplemented with piercing shards of digital glass. The brief second track is more peaceful, before the final composition takes a sharp diversion - where its predecessors were calming, this one's all anxiety, playing with the tonality of classic horror scores and brain-botheringly dissonant 20th century modern composition.
