Boomkat Product Review:
At last the Italian Library records reissue scheme shifts its focus from ’60s and ‘70s to spacey, proto-technoid and obscure late ‘80s with superb results found in Thrilling-Tension-Terrore 2.
Pure analogue fetishists may be let down, but anyone into digitised ‘80s Italo, cosmic or dark ambient styles will be in their element with the grimy string slashes and clipped disco beat of Antonio Sechi’s Ossessione, the Coil-esque harpsichord etude Serie Prima, or the mechanical breakdown of Psicosi Da Macchine, and, to be fair all the points between.
Seriously, it getting to be like there’s only so much Macchi a young man can take. This and the other two volumes are totally prime, though.
