Boomkat Product Review:
Lush, lambent electronic pop and dancefloor candyfloss from Jeff McIlwain, his third as Lusine for Ghostly and his first since 2009's A Certain Distance. Sleek house numbers 'Lucky' and 'February' are reminiscent of Present Lover-era Luomo, while Jeff's wife handles lead vocals on a purring, electroclashy cover of Electronic's 'Get The Message' and Caitlin Sherman lends her breathier talents to the punchy 'Another Tomorrow'; elsewhere, there's Lindstrom-esque chug ('On Telegraph') and heavily arpeggiated, Detroit-influenced techno-lite ('Stratus'). We'd be lying if we said some of this record didn't sound dated, but it's very well made and there's undoubtedly pleasure to be had among its pert synth lines and soaring, trancey melodies.
