Boomkat Product Review:
**Instrumentals** Indomitable tech-house pop-star, Señor Matias Aguayo is 'The Visitor' on his eagerly anticipated third album. In the five years since the addictive 'Ay Ay Ay' he's continued a globe-tripping lifestyle, recording material for his aptly titled LP at his temporary homes in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, France and Germany alongside collaborators from his Cómeme crew - Philipp Gorbachev, Ana Helder, Daniel Maloso, and Alejandro Paz - plus vocalists Aérea Negrot (Hercules & Love Affair), Juliana Gattas (Miranda!), percussionist Luis Miguel 'Cucharita' Jaramillo, and Scott Montieth aka Deadbeat who mixed the final product. This collaborative spirit lends 'The Visitor' an embarrassment of diversity, cutting across more tempos, drum patterns and moods than most dance and pop artists dare in a lifetime. But most of all fun is the keyword here, from the playful cadence of Aguayo's instrumental vocals - ranging from animalistic purrs to drones, glam come-ons and deadpan industrial - to the tactile corporeality of his rhythms; syncopated tangles of bass and drums seducing the body to wiggle, swagger, percolate and shake with commanding abandon. We're quite sure you won't hear another new album as sexy, forward looking and suggestive this year.
