Boomkat Product Review:
A further set of KILLER remixes from The Black Dog's 'Vexation' sessions captures Claro Intellecto in a seriously up-for-it mood, backed with mixes from Redshape, Silicone Soul and Octogen. It's been some time since Claro has been in such a buoyant and upbeat groove and the results of 'Northern Electric Soul' are purely deadly, rushing with Rob Hood-esque percussion and teetering on a square bassline liable to break your legs if you looked at it the wrong way. Gwan Claro! Meanwhile Redshape provides a more restrained acid version of 'CCTV Nation' pinned by subaquatic bass throbs and featuring a lead synthline made to melt dancefloors instantly. In his Octogen guise, Marco Bernardi finishes the set with an abstracted Detroit remix of 'Kissing Someone Else's Dog' with sharpened synths and agitated drum machine rhythms. Killer twelve.
