Boomkat Product Review:
First shot from Fabric's recently minted Houndstooth imprint. 'Threshing Floor' has the whiff of the wonked analogue gear turned out by Moon B, Mgun, Anthony Naples and co of late, but it's more club-focussed and businesslike than any of that stuff, its criss claps, moody strings and grungey motorik bassline sticking close to the grid, and to the dancefloor brief. 'Leosengor' is very pleasant indeed, with a humid, introspective New Age drift reminiscent of Sand Circles, Maximillion Dunbar, No UFOs, etc, while the deep as you like 'Siglo Gray' fuses that hypna house sensibility with a tougher, tighter rhythm base and a refined, unorthodox sense of narrative suspense, making it the highlight of the package if you had to choose one. 'No City Of Choice' maintains the trip but ups the funk with swaggering, aqua-flexing snares and zapping, Legowelt-style chords.
