Boomkat Product Review:
Eccentric english composer Gazelle Twin marks her 2nd soundtrack release, and first collaboration with Max De Wardener, with the OST for period horror flick ‘The Power’
One year on from their work on ‘Welcome To The Blumhouse: Nocturne,’ and a decade since her debut release, Gazelle Twin comfortably solidifies her transition into movie scoring on her second effort, tempering her pop proclivities in context of the project while continuing the themes of a blighted Britain from her recent albums. She finds an ideal spar in Max De Wardener, a noted composer for TV and film, who brings a taste for unusual instrumental tonalities to GT’s eldritch electronics, makign for a score that will no doubt please fans of classic Radiophonic Workshop output and the likes of Cosey’s soundtrack for the Delia Derbyshire flick.
