Boomkat Product Review:
The Others finally deliver their feverishly awaited debut LP for Dub Police. Alongside Caspa and Rusko, the labels other purveyors of rave friendly jump-up gear, The Others sit very comfortably with the Wobble tag and drop in four fat spilling wackers from their base in the ghettos of Surrey. Feeling the need to polish a particularly dirty stanker, first up is the V.I.P version of anthem 'Africa' with the overbaked darkside tones reinforced with added wobble that can only remind us of that 'Dubstep Dance' kid from Youtube (look it up if you've nowt better to do), while 'Kinda Blue' looks for the crossover move with a double timed skankers riddim and trancing chord progressions. 'Invasions' is pretty much the epitome of halfstep skanking, leaving 'Champagne Cocktails' to round out with another ebullient and rave friendly slab of dirt.
