Boomkat Product Review:
Ahhhh yes, the mighty Secondo returns with another master-class and excellent companion piece to last week’s brilliant Soundstream shuffle, showing all the re-edit chumps how to do it. For those who aren't in the know yet - the underlying concept to this series of twelves invloves the use a single song as starting point, reconstructed by Secondo in his signature splice & funk style. The guessing game is less tricky this time round, we shall disclose the names of Roy Ayers and George Benson, one from the height of eighties analogue mastering, the other a funk classic, serve as the starting points. "The night v4” begins with a classic Secondo splice-fest and progresses into a tighter, honed down second version.. "Frk dk" was available for pre-listening on www.dreck-records.com for some while and has had baying for its release. This is going to move the floor on the ones, twos, threes and fours, buy this nugget before it's gone. Small label. Small run. Rarely repressed! Majestic stuff as you may expect and a total killer for all you cut-up freaks! Essential.
