Boomkat Product Review:
Nutty jungle nuggets from Persian’s private cabinet, hitting wax for the first time, replete with glitches, crackles and nuff authentic flava.
Original spars Bizzy B + DJ D Lux go sick with the barrelling subs and hyper breaks of Classic, and DJ D Lux goes alone with the biting-point amiga mashment of Dub Fi Dub to trouble the sound engineers in the dance.
Flipside, the Persian Prince rules, OK. Persian Sound leans in on a sleng teng-sampling dancehall flex; Pumpkin Dubplate also runs on Prince Jammy’s most famous B-line, and Truth jumps up with the warp speed bass, presumably just prior to his switch into later speed garage styles.
Think “ruffneck” is the word we’re looking for.
