Boomkat Product Review:
This album is the debut full-length outing by The Invisible, a supergroup of sorts, comprising members of Hot Chip, Polar Bear and Zongamin. Adding to the starry mixture, the album's production comes courtesy of Matthew Herbert, who must find himself thriving on this material, it's a strange, poppy blend of off-kilter electronic songwriting, jazz rhythms and TV On The Radio-style indie-funk (particularly on 'OK', whose intro is startlingly similar to 'Golden Age'). A compelling, progressive sounding set of songs, and a colourful, finely worked production from Herbert (but then what else did you expect?).
