Boomkat Product Review:
Caffeinated, Blackpool-style ‘80s dance chops from Neil Scriven’s Meatbingo, whom you may remember from such releases as ‘Trendy Robots’ [Skam, 2013], or Phono Ghosts ‘Chrome Position’ [Skam, 2013], which both sound suspiciously similar to B’pool’s VHS Head.
This gear is properly restless, like being strapped into a frantically funked up arcade game after an intravenous dose of Panda Pops and a kilo of pick ’n mix, or, as the label put it “Like a dizzying hit of a future dancefloor drug administered digitally into your avatar’s holographic brain.” Either way, you’ve probably got the impression - if you can’t hack Blackpool or have a taste for the ’80’s sleaziest NRG thrills, it ain’t for you.
