Boomkat Product Review:
The return of Ghostface, and bar the comedy sleeve and title - the man is on FIRE. Hard to encapsulate precisely what it is about Ghostface that's so damned righteous - its just that more or less everything he does comes across as effortlessly cool. Take SUPA GFK, for instance - rather than do that same thing that's been done a million time by his peers he chooses to not bother sampling "Superman Lover" by Johnny Guitar Watson - instead just opting to play the whole damn original song from start to finish and spit his rhymes over the top. Lazy? nah, its just pure Ghostface Genius. Sure, there are godawful moments here (the dire "The Prayer, for instance), but when Ghostface is on it, he makes the most valuable beat racket you'll find in 2007. Reassuringly, reliably good.
