Boomkat Product Review:
Daniel Meteo's dormant Meteosound imprint slowly awakens from it's hibernation with three tracks from the headboy himself exploring more dubby tangents of house and electronica. Title track 'The Beat Of The Heart' revolves around a stripped Chicago house template with hypnotic upbuilding electronica styled synthlines making for a neatly woozy affair. The B-side 'Guitars' doesn't actually feature any guitars as far as we can tell, but works on a very strange and off centre dub house axis in Meteo's idiosyncratic style, and final track 'Secrets' combines the Meteo sound of old with a slow-house tempo compatible with Kassem Mosse's slower efforts and the rest of the Workshop style. Cool club tracks for fans of the new Berlin house sound.
