Boomkat Product Review:
Popped straight from the blister-pack of last year's 'Body Riddle' album, the chap Clark is back with the 'Ted E.P.' - wherein the track benefits hugely from spending some quality time alone as the bassline throbs and rhythmical elements echo into the distance. Making sure all his fans aren't shelling out for nothing, 'Ted E.P.' comes with a raft of extras - kicking off through the Bibio remix of the original. Spooling out a meandering series of rewound folk guitars and mealy beats, Bibio evokes a pastoral feeling that is a million miles away from whimsical - closing with some dissident humming and glimpsed waterfalls that are the ideal juxtaposition to Clark's first take. Moving on from here, new track 'Bruise Animations' stops off in the West Country to pick up some crunching influences, 'Mia Farrow' layers a fondant of crescendo-baked drums atop some malignant piano melodies, whilst 'Springtime Epiphany' is erratic in all the good ways. Closing with the cloudy ambience of 'Cremation Drones', Clark has delivered an EP that will reinforce his position as one of Warp's top table.
