Boomkat Product Review:
Intoxicating Rasta dub biz from the Wareika Hills, Jamaica, via the desk of Jackson Bailey's Tapes in London.
Still hot from his reggae-pop standout on Workshop 21, he furnishes two versions of The Wareika Hill Sounds' 'Datura', getting to grips with funde, repeta and bass drums in a heads-down session licked with guitar and flute by Kenrick Diggory.
Now that Honest Jon's mention Keith Hudson in their write-up, it's so easy to imagine his husky croon floating over the 'Datura Mystic' mix, however, the dub is really summat else; a rocking swirl of recursive drums recorded right on the biting point, and nowt but. It's a killer!!!
