Boomkat Product Review:
Reminiscent of the vintage 12k (shuttle358, Sogar, Christopher Willits etc), Ateleia's Swimming Against The Moments is an album that as melodic and accessible as it is remains experimental. The bristling, digital electronics are sculpted into a beautiful post-Oval, post-Fennesz soundscape, and further to this album's credit, between the tracks there never seems to be excessive repetition. This album is four years old now, and you could probably guess that from some of the processing techniques used, but even in 2008 it's hard not to lament the fact that experimental electronic records as exciting and accessible as this are so hard to come by. Highly Recommended.
