Boomkat Product Review:
Sublime pair of Pye Corner Audio-alike analogue modulations from Berlin's Moon Wheel for French label, Wool Recordings. As with his eponymous, largely slept-on debut album for NNF, these are quiet, concise vignettes for midnight consumption. A-side 'Surinam' pads forth on warmest, woozy bassline under starry blanket of bleeps and awning tape noise, doing not a lot but doing it beautifully well. B-side 'Prosopagnosia' offers even more elusive sensations with tantalising melodies lost to the harmonic fuzz over a squashed, systolic bass pulse, sucking us in and holding it tight. Warmest recommendation.
