Originally, this music appeared on a Digitalis CD release and a highly limited Bo Weavil vinyl edition, backed with the beautiful 'Celeste', which presumably is set to appear on another reissue at some stage. In the three years since its initial release Blackshaw's music hasn't lost its impact: 'Sunshrine' remains one of the most authoritative guitar pieces of recent times, building a slowly evolving narrative around a chiming 12-string and accompanying instruments like harmonium, sarod, bowed cymbals and bells.
