Boomkat Product Review:
The Wooden Wand acolytes return for another meteoric rush of improvised psychedlia courtesy of Important Records. The main meal here is the truly epic title track which is born from the murky primordial soup of G. Lucas Crane's freeform electronics only to evolve into full-scale krautrock-tinged acid rock, all held together by the powerhouse drumming of Magik Markers' Pete Nolan. 'Peace Symbols' is an interesting change of gear for the band and takes the shape of a hazy hippy singalong akin to the songwriting of the absent Wooden Wand himself. Of course, about halfway through the song's ten-and-a-half minutes, the band's penchant for all things far-out kicks back in and we're rapidly yanked back into the wildest netherworlds of lo-fi soundscape experimentation.
