Boomkat Product Review:
Absolutely crushing black metal/drone/psych-noise pressure from Matthew Bower and Samantha Davis ov Skullflower in various guises. You're encouraged to try out 33 or 45 rpm for respectively unique results.
Two players: three differing yet clearly compatible pieces. They first team up as Voltiguers on the A-side for the proper black metal meditation, 'Hexenturm' which is dense scowling rage at 45, and like sooty molasses at 33, followed by the chokingly dense descent of 'Palm Beach Violation' as Black Sunroof, which leaves us rubbled at either speed.
Turn over for the sidelong buzz of Skullflower's 'PSH', dedicating a pulsating psychedelic rush of streaming synths and reversed, loops - sounding technoid at 45 and raga-like at 33 - to "one of the finest actors of our generation".
