Boomkat Product Review:
The Spectral juggernaut continues to thunder on, still celebrating the label's 50-release milestone. This selection accompanies the mammoth retrospective from a couple of weeks back, this time with remixes of recent cuts. Onur Ozer is in pole position, tackling Audion's 'Fred's Bells' with predictably well-produced results. It's a lengthy remake, but it never outstays its welcome, largely thanks to the elaborate and detailed percussive edits. AIming for more functional, minimal territory Barem tackles Kate SImko's 'She Said', while Daso's 'Meine' gets a lively, melodically-charged overhaul at the hands of Lucio Aquilina. Finally, Sami Koivikko opens up the palette for Broker/Dealer's 'Soft Sell', departing from the restricted minimal techno template.
