Boomkat Product Review:
Night Slugs' main man drops his long awaited solo debut proper. 'Charisma Theme' opens play with a shock of square bass turbulence, shackling 8-bar grime claps to eye-wobbling subs for the showah-faced jackers. 'Hyperpass' is more tense and foreboding, updating Bam Bam's menacing Chicago dystopia for the swagger generation, while 'Reminder' fuses Pulse X stabs with sino-futuristic synth accents in darkly graphic fashion. The hyper-vivid street scene of 'Silo Pass' is our percy, simulating a sound like Jon E Cash's burly 8-Bar beats, but suffused with chrome synth cadence and a spartan 2011 stance, a sound also explored on the rogue ruffige of 'Look (Dub)'. This is a strong look. BIG tip!
